UK petition to extend meningitis B coverage most signed in parliamentary history

In the UK, any online parliamentary petition which can attract 100,000 signatures is automatically considered for debate in the House of Commons.

The most popular parliamentary petition had been to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK, but following the death of two year old Faye Burdett from meningitis B on 14th February 2016, the petition received 640,000 signatures and is now the most popular petition in parliamentary history.

Meningitis awareness had also been raised by Ex England rugby captain Matt Dawson publishing photos of his two year old son with meningitis C.
